Chile’s Termos Baños de Puritama

There’s nothing chilly about Chile’s Termos Baños de Puritama. Bordered by volcanoes and geysers, they sit at the foot of a canyon in the Atacama Desert, 3,475m above sea level. Eight geothermal pools, some fed by waterfalls, are connected via wooden walkways. The high-altitude sodium and sulfate-rich waters are recommended for arthritis, rheumatism and other ailments and stay at a gentle 32 to 33  ̊C year-round.
