Coming up roses

the Antidote to... sickly rose scents

The Middle East is something of a rose garden: think fragrant rosewater, spas strewn with rose petals and attar of roses, used in many scents. So it’s hardly surprising that the Kuwaiti founders of Prismologie, Intisar and Fatima Al-Sabah, have created such an indulgent and heady rose product. In part, their love of colour was a direct reaction against the need to wear black in their home country.

The range has colour designations, with Rose Quartz & Rose Body Balm found in the ‘pink for comfort category’. A creamy powder with a gentle shimmer and a lovely light rose fragrance that won’t overpower you even if you apply it all over, simply buff it on with the velvet body puff for your very own Arabian night.

Designed as a treatment to refresh and revitalise hair between washes (without weighing it down) or as a light styling product, Isle of Roses hair oil is gorgeously scented with 100% natural essential oils including Bulgarian damask rose, musk rose and evening primrose. Vitamin E, shea butter and aloe vera add yet more moisturising properties. And (whisper), you could even use it on your skin to alleviate dry patches.
