A relaxing bath is one of the best ways to ease into the cooler, shorter days of autumn – then, as autumn makes way for winter, you can turn up the hot tap.
Medicinal roots dug up in autumn sustain us nutritionally at this time – echinacea and horseradish keep our blood warm and our immune systems strong – and spices are typical of autumn cooking, so why not mimic this in the bathroom by using ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove oil in the bath?
