The Times Tip Number 4: How to guarantee springing out of bed!

I used to be a grumpy zombie in the morning until I discovered dawn simulators – alarm clocks that wake you up with light not sound. My Lumie alarm clock gradually increases light, a much gentler and kinder start to the day that sets me up nicely for my meditation.

I also sleep on a hypoallergenic and naturally dust-mite resistant silk pillowcase. This is because many fabrics are produced from crops that require pesticides and other chemical treatments so a silk pillowcase reduces chemical exposure and, unlike wicking cotton, doesn’t suck up my (organic) serum/night cream.
