International Kissing Day

the Antidote to... your average lippy

Today  is International Kissing Day, where either two people in love get to express their appreciation for each other or you’re finally allowed to pounce on someone you’ve been shamelessly flirting with. If you do grab the bull by the horns, be prepared by having a go at making your own all-natural, very simple lip scrub.

For an ultra smooth surface with not a flake in sight follow the below recipe:

Tablespoon of Coconut Oil
Three Tablespoons Raw Sugar Teaspoon Honey
Two Drops of Peppermint Essential Oil

  1. Using a bain-marie, melt down the coconut oil
  2. Gently blend the coconut oil, honey and sugar
  3. Once cooled, stir in the essential oil
  4.  Decant into a small, airtight container

Shelf Life: 3 months, apply with a scoop or dry, clean fingers.

Layer a natural gloss or more pigmented lip colour over your newly scrubbed lips. Lanolips is great if you just want a glossy sheen with a hint of colour and for a stronger lip go for the Burt’s Bees – one of the rare lip crayons that moisturisers rather than dries out.
