Weather means more when you have a garden (be it owned or borrowed!)

“Weather means more when you have a garden. There’s nothing like listening to a shower and thinking how it is soaking in around your green beans.” [Or dahlias!]
– Marcelene Cox, American humorist, author of “Ask Any Woman,” a column in the Ladies’ Home Journal from 1942-1959.

I took this shot at the verdant, fun and wonderful @alfundok – a well kept secret and little gem that makes your heart sing and your mind wander in the mountains of Maaser El Chouf, Lebanon just outside Beirut, Lebanon.
Everything they grow here is planted and harvested with love and ends up on the table.

If you don’t have your own garden, find one via parkland, hotels, national trust – even the good old pub garden and soak it up. And if you don’t grow your own and want the hit without the labour, order a weekly @riverford organic food box. Job done!
